TML’s transformative “Love It!” Studio Project
The perfect fit for your LM46 experience!
With two main campuses, serving nearly 400 students each week in Overtown and West Homestead, the “Love It!” Studio project will support our youth program in Overtown.
Impact | Overtown
In Overtown, where many families live below the federal poverty line, the impact of the “Love It!” Studio is transformative, offering our 35-40 youth from grades 6-12 the tools to showcase their multiple talents and develop skills needed for financial stability and career success, ultimately influencing their trajectory of life.
The Studio will give TML an edge and help us meet our students in an entrepreneurial content creation space for us to provide mentorship and education.
Impact | Podcast Workshop
In this video you will witness the power of what an ongoing project like this has and realize the multiple skills they develop to finally produce this heartfelt piece.
This video shows the safe space the students had to confidently use their voice and share authentic stories. Watching this you can see the change agents evolving right in front of us.
Our Youth Team | Instruction
Time in the studio will become a component of the weekly curriculum and sustained by our talented youth programming team, as well as, a sourced professional service partner to help train our team and provide guidance and mentorship.
Location
The Studio will be created in a space at the Dorsey Library where we provide our youth programming throughout the year thanks to an agreement with the Florida Film House.
FFH is a loving partner of TML’s. In fact, the “Our Voices. Our Reality” Podcast you just saw was created this summer thanks to their 1st Take Youth Program workshop.

Before Studio Makeover!
“Love It!” Studio Comes to Life!
The space for the Studio will be in the niche of Dorsey’s lobby.
With various items needed to bring the Studio to life, like lighting, microphones, and cameras, we look forward to collaborating with our LM team and help leverage our relationships to find a continuous service provider, media lab grants, and/ or funders to invest in this innovative and empowering learning experience.
The budget for this project should fall between: $8,500-25,000, depending on the final scope.*
Ideally we would like to complete the project the first half of November.
Of course we will work with our LM team to coordinate a time for site visits, but please know, we would love you to come out and support a Wednesday youth night dinner so you can see first hand how the love and support we share impacts our youth here at TML!
