Each month we reward students for their hard work with a time of celebration.

This project is the perfect way for small groups to create fun and serve with us.

Project Details

Parties are held once a month from 3:45 pm-5:45 pm.  Your team can choose to host a Fun Fridays for children, youth, or both at either site. We ask that teams complete a detail plan of their activities and treats in our Service Project Agreement. Additionally, pre-event supply drop-off is highly preferred to be sure we can make the most of our time together. Our current enrollment numbers are below.

Overtown:

• 85 children K-5th
• 60 youth 6th-12th

West Homestead:

• 145 children K-5th
• 60 youth 6th-12th

Party Activity Ideas

We will divide the children into age groups who will rotate through stations that include food, fitness, and games/activities.

• Examples of Fitness Station– games, such as kickball, flag football, water party outside (we can invite kids to bring other clothes).
• Food Station – whatever items they choose to provide, we’ll serve at a location, and all kids will rotate through it.
• Indoor Activity Station – craft project, art activity, games station, cookie/cupcake decorating. . .let’s dream up ideas together.

Suggested Supplies

• Dessert Items (it’s a party!) cake, cupcakes, cookies, candy treat bags
• Snacks (ie Chips, Pretzels, etc.)
• Celebration Banners
• Centerpieces
• Party Hats
• Lemonade & Kool-Aid drink mixes
• Colored paper plates, all colors
• Balloons, all colors
• Streamers, all colors

You don’t need to be in the Miami area to support the fun.
